Ruth started working at the practice in January 2018 as a receptionist after working as a Clerical Officer at Neath and Port Talbot hospital for 3 years. After finishing school, Ruth attended Pencoed College where she completed a HND in Equine Studies. Ruth has been brought up on a farm and is passionate about all animals and knew from a young age that this is what she wanted to do.
Ruth shares her home with her partner Ian and their Ragdoll cat Kitty. Ruth also owns numerous animals, including 3 Border Collies, 2 Welsh Sheepdog’s, sheep, chickens, ducks and horses on her farm. Ruth likes to rescue ex battery hens/ducks, where they then enjoy a free range life.
Ruth has represented Wales on many occasions travelling Europe with her horses competing in the Mounted Games Association of GB (Gymkhana). She enjoys spending time at the farm with her animals, socialising with family and friends and loves rugby.
